Methane Mission: Waste Management Solutions for Climate and Plastic Pollution from a Municipal Approach

To bring together key stakeholders—experts, government representatives, youth activists, industry leaders, and civil society—in a unique, interactive setting designed to create engaging dialogue on the importance of municipal waste management in the context of the climate and plastic crisis.

Emphasis will be placed on the benefi ts of waste stream separation to prevent methane emissions, mitigate leachate contamination in landfi lls, and by consequence the decomposition and plastic that with formation of microplastics, and protect ecosystems and human health.

This event is a refreshing take on policy discussions, set in a restaurant in Busan, aimed at facilitating meaningful exchanges that inspire action as the INC-5 negotiations begin.
